2022 Organic Bai Mu Dan White Tea

This high-grade organic Bai Mu Dan white tea hails from Yunnan and offers a tenderly sweet, wholesome taste with a mellow character and floral fragrance. Rich in layers and comforting aromas, it’s a calming brew that’s consistently stable and smooth across steeps.

What makes this tea truly special is the meticulous care taken in its cultivation. Grown in pristine sub-forest plantations along the Lancang River — with no prior history of agricultural use — the soil is clean, unpolluted, and nourished by pure mountain water from purpose-built reservoirs. The entire growth cycle follows strict organic standards, supported by a clean production process from start to finish.

The result is a delicate tea with gentle notes of sweet ripe fruit, a clean profile free from impurities, and a long, satisfying aftertaste. Whether steeped briefly or over multiple infusions, its flavour holds steady and pure.

No pesticides or fertilizers are used at all. Every batch is rigorously tested for over 573 agricultural residues and heavy metals — ensuring it meets the highest standards of organic purity.

Sold in bags of 20g or 30g, it is a good everyday drink. We highly recommend adding a few slices of Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel) for an extra layer of flavour—simply brew them together to enhance the tea’s natural warmth and depth. Chen Pi can also neutralise the cooling nature of the white tea.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark place. This tea can continue to age gracefully if kept well.

Brewing Advice: Use 5g of tea in 150ml of water at 90°C to 95°C, steeping for 20-35 seconds in a Gaiwan style, lasting up to multiple infusions.
